What EEME offers:

EEME offers monthly subscriptions for their electronics project kits. Each subscription will come with a new kit every month complete with all the electronic components needed to build a new project.

Each month's project builds on the previous month's knowledge and interactive quizzes, questions reinforce kids' understanding of the why's and the how's. Their goal is to provide a curricula that will teach kids the fundamentals of electronics, while fostering their curiosity and critical thinking skills.

What we received:

We were able to get the Project Genius Light kit ( 1st monthly kit). 

What we thought:

Monster and I sat down and worked together to do this kit. I felt this was a little hard for Monster as he needed help understanding which holes were the correct ones and making sure he did not place them in the wrong ones, but we worked together and completed the kit! Monster loved it in the end. He was very proud of himself. 

 I love that this company has videos that you use to put the kit together. They also have little questions they ask in between in the videos to get your child thinking. I also like that they use activities and lessons and break them up in smaller videos instead of one long video. Keeps the children interested. 

Another great thing about the kits is the material is reusable. So you are not using the material once and throwing it out. It comes with a little baggy you can put the pieces in when not in use! 

I think these kits are great for children who like working with their hands and like to build. I would suggest children who are at least 3rd grade and up use this project as it might be harder for smaller hands.

Educational Places in Dallas/Forth Worth

If you live in the Dallas/Forth Worth area or you are planning a trip to the area and need some education, yet fun things to do, here is a list I have put together.

Dallas/Forth Worth:

• Klyde Warren Park- Klyde Warren Park is a 5.2 acre park located in Dallas. This park is interesting as it was built over an 8 lane highway. This park is open daily from 6a.m-11p.m. They also have a restaurant on site, as well as food trucks. You can check out the park map here. Best of all this park is free ( you just have to pay for parking in Dallas).

• Perot Museum of Nature and Science- located in Victory Park, this museum brings hands on learning to life. Ticket prices start at $17 for adults and $11 for children (2-17). There are add ons ( like the special exhibits). Parking for non-members is $8. 

• Dallas Heritage Villages- Dallas Heritage Villages land was a site for many first in Dallas. The land was the first Dallas city park in 1876. General admission is $9 for adults and $5 for children (4-12). Open Tuesday-Saturday 10a.m-4p.m and also on Sundays 12p.m-4p.m. Closed on Mondays. 

• Ripley's Believe It or Not- one of our favorite places. The only place in Grand Prairie that you can find shrunken heads, two headed animals, the Palace of Wax, Mirror Maze, interactive hands on activities and a very powerful wind vortex. Ticket prices start at $18.99 for adults and $8.99 for children. 

• Forth Worth Museum of Science and Nature- One of my favorites growing up was this place. Hosting several exhibits, the Omni theater, and the amazing Nobel Planetarium.  Right now they have several shows playing at the Omni. One even about Tornado Alley which is perfect since tornado season is coming soon! Ticket prices depend on which area you are visiting. Please check out their website for all ticket prices. 

For the next few weeks I will be posting places in the Dallas/Forth Worth area I believe is worth the trip! Please let me know if their are any specific areas you would like to see ( ex: Aquariums, Museums, Places for certain ages). This will help me in finding the best areas for your family to visit!
