Dress United T-Shirt Review

I was recently given the chance to review a product from a t-shirt company. Dress United allows you to go onto their website and pick between unisex t-shirts, hoodies, woman's girly or long sleeve t-shirts and sweat shirts. These shirts are great for family reunions, bachelorette parties, team sports, or even just because! I was able to go onto their website and make a shirt. Because I am going to a homeschooling convention in May, I wanted something I could wear to help promote my homeschooling blog. I chose a plain black shirt with white lettering.
On the front of the shirt, I put:
Homeschooling...
because we can!
On the back I posted my homeschooling blog information!

This shirt is made great! I have already worn it a couple of times and washed it and it still looks great! No fading or letters cracking!
On their Dress United website they have tons of lettering to choose from, colors of shirts/sweaters/hoodies, and clipart to use as well. You can also choose the type of t-shirt you want to use: Glidan Ultra Cotton, Hanes or American Apparel.

I absolutely love their site and product. Their site was very easy to use! Their product I would give 5 stars! It turned out just the way it showed it on their website! I am very impressed! I look forward to sharing where I got my shirt too in May at the convention!

Homeschooling books!

This past weekend Monster and I went to Houston to visit my Mom, Sister and my sisters twins. While we were there we went over to Garden Ridge. I haven't been to Garden Ridge to actually go shopping in awhile. I just don't ever think about that place really. Now when you think of Garden Ridge you think of things for outside your home. I think of patio furniture, garden decorations, lawn items. But they have really expanded what they sell. My favorite part is they have books for REALLY, REALLY cheap!!! They have a ton of children's books which is one of my favorite things! In their selection, they have a great selection of learning books. My mom got Monster some great books, two which are dry erase.
These are all things we are working on with Monster too!

This book I bought! 365 things to make and do! And for only $10!! It has some really great ideas too!!

I know these aren't books but I wanted to show them off too! I had no clue Garden Ridge had things like these! They are Red and Orange! (They look dull here but I think it is just the lighting). I want to use them in Monsters room somehow when we put together the Superhero room for him!

Summer is coming...

Are you ready for Summer? I know I am! I strongly dislike being cold in any way, so I can not wait for it to be warm. Here in Texas we have hot summers. I was browsing Pinterest and found tons of fun activities for kids this summer. I wanted to share them on here in case you are one of the smart people who never got sucked into joining Pinterest ( It sucks you in and you can lose hours off your day! lol).

This has got to be my favorite. I can not wait to try this during the summer. Since we live in Texas and like I said it gets HOT! I am going to try setting this outside and letting it melt that way. It will be a fun experiment to do with Monster as well as some awesome art work to hang up!

Another fun project to do in the heat! Coloring on rocks! If it is hot enough where you live then the crayon wax will melt on the rocks! I need to find some big rocks like these though!

I love this idea! Everyone knows about melting crayons to  make crayon shapes, but I never thought to use them to make a candle! I think this summer we may be using a ton of crayons for projects! This would be a great experiment to see how long it takes the crayons to melt out in the heat!

Well there are three fun summer activities! I will share more as I find them!!

Blokus Game! (Review)

For Monster's 6th birthday we got him this game from Mattel called junior Blokus! Monster loves games that challenge him. I found this game at Target and thought it would be perfect for him. We have played this game several times over the last month and he loves it. This game is very simple to set out. It has the board and each player has a set of pieces. We keep ours in ziplock baggies so they are all over the box. Each player starts on a small circle on the white board. That is there starting point. You can not touch side by side of same colors just the tips of the corners. The object is to use all your pieces or be the player with the least pieces left at the end of the game! If you look at the pictures you can see that as your pieces connect you can cross over into the other players color as long as your pieces corners always touch! We have gotten down to each having just a few pieces left! It is challenging and very fun. It keeps your brain thinking too! You can't really set up a plan of where you will go next because you don't know where the other player will go! Monster usually picks randomly while I start with the bigger ones then fit in the smaller pieces!

One thing I really just love about this game is it came with ten mini games. They are sheets and you set the board up according to the sheet. Then you use the pieces it tells you at the bottom to connect the green pieces again only letting the corners touch one another! I think this is awesome to add to this game! I hope they come out with more sheets to purchase because we are going through the ten they have in the game and I think this would be a great thing to use for homeschooling. It can be a quiet time activity or for Monster his morning challenge! I really hope they come out with more sheets otherwise I might have to be making up my own!
I overall think this is a great games for kids! They also have an adult version of this game with more colors and pieces and more shapes. We don't have it but have played it and it is just as fun! It is on our list of games to get next!

Junior Blokus is recommended for ages 5+
It is a 2 player game
Kids and adults can have fun playing this game!
